Melissa Barrera is a Mexican actress and singer most prominently known for her role as Lyn Hernandez in the Starz television series “Vida” and her performance in the film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights.”

Barrera’s career took off with a significant role in the telenovela “Siempre tuya Acapulco,” which led to her gaining a broader fanbase in Mexico.
