Katie Cassidy is an American actress. She starred in many popular television and film roles in the mid 2000s including When a Stranger Calls (2006), Black Christmas (2006), Supernatural (2007–2008), Harper’s Island (2009), Melrose Place (2009–2010), the remake A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), and Gossip Girl (2010–2012). Her lead roles in the horror genre earned her the “scream queen” title. She eventually took a lead role in the Arrowverse as Laurel Lance / Black Canary which led to work on the Arrow series as well as The Flash, and The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
