Justin Hayward
Justin Hayward is an English musician, singer, and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and lead guitarist for the rock band The Moody Blues. Since joining the band in 1966, Hayward has been integral to its success, contributing to its distinctive sound and the creation of timeless hits. His work includes the writing and singing of classic songs such as “Nights in White Satin” and “Tuesday Afternoon.” Hayward’s contributions have earned him numerous awards, including the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Moody Blues in 2018.
In addition to his achievements with The Moody Blues, Hayward has released several solo albums that showcase his versatility as an artist. His solo work, beginning with “Blue Jays” in 1975—a collaboration with fellow Moody Blues member John Lodge—and including albums like “Songwriter” and “Moving Mountains.”
