Gloria Gaynor is an American singer, best known for the disco era hits “I Will Survive” (1978), “Never Can Say Goodbye” (1974), “Let Me Know (I Have a Right)” (1979), and “I Am What I Am” (1983).
Gaynor’s journey in the music industry began in the 1960s, with her first real success as a singer coming in 1975 with the release of “Never Can Say Goodbye,” which established her as a disco era icon. However, it was the 1978 hit “I Will Survive” that catapulted her to global fame, becoming an anthem of empowerment. Her other notable hits include “Let Me Know (I Have a Right)” and “I Am What I Am.”
