Ella Emhoff is an American fashion designer, model, and artist. Ella Emhoff is also known as US Vice President Kamala Harris‘ stepdaughter since her dad Douglas Emhoff married Kamala in 2014. Ella gained national attention during the 2021 Presidential Inauguration, where her unique fashion sense, highlighted by a bejeweled Miu Miu coat, captured widespread media attention.

A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Ella Emhoff has carved out her niche in the fashion industry through her innovative knitwear designs. In 2021, she founded her brand, Soft Hands, which explores fashion, design, creative consulting, and hosting events. Her work often blends traditional knitting techniques with modern, avant-garde styles, reflecting her passion for textiles and sustainable fashion. She has also created a community-driven knit club, where she teaches and connects with others through the craft.

Ella’s modeling career took off after signing with IMG Models, leading to runway appearances for prestigious brands like Balenciaga, Miu Miu, and Proenza Schouler.
