Donald Sutherland is a Canadian actor whose career spans over six decades. He has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, earning critical acclaim and numerous awards along the way.

One of Sutherland’s earliest roles was as Hawkeye Pierce in the 1970 film “MASH,” which was based on the hit TV series of the same name. He went on to star in several other films, including “Klute” (1971), “Don’t Look Now” (1973), and “Ordinary People” (1980), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Sutherland’s career also includes appearances in blockbuster franchises, such as “The Hunger Games” series, in which he played President Snow.

One of Sutherland’s most notable collaborations was with director Robert Altman, who directed him in “MASH” and several other films, including “Brewster McCloud” (1970) and “A Wedding” (1978). Sutherland has also worked with a number of other notable celebrities and influential people. He appeared alongside Julie Christie in “Don’t Look Now,” with Warren Beatty in “Kaleidoscope” (1966), and with Jane Fonda in “Klute.” He also co-starred with Helen Mirren in the 2003 film “The Clearing,” and with Colin Farrell in the 2004 film “A Home at the End of the World.”

He has also worked with his son, Kiefer Sutherland. both starred in the 1983 film “Max Dugan Returns,” and later appeared together in the 1996 western “A Time to Kill.” They also co-starred in the 2014 TV series “Crossing Lines.”
