Deryck Whibley is a Canadian musician, singer, and songwriter who is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the punk rock band Sum 41. He began his music career in the early 1990s, playing in various bands before forming Sum 41 in 1996.
With Sum 41, Whibley has released several successful albums, including “All Killer No Filler,” “Does This Look Infected?,” and “Chuck.” The band’s music is known for its high-energy, guitar-heavy sound and Whibley’s distinctive vocals. They have sold over 15 million albums worldwide and have won multiple awards, including a Juno Award for Group of the Year.
In addition to his work with Sum 41, Whibley has also collaborated with other musicians and artists such as Tommy Lee, Iggy Pop, and Ludacris. He is also known for being married to fellow Canadian punk rocker Avril Lavigne from 2006 until 2010.
