Daron Malakian is an American musician, singer, and songwriter known for his contributions to the rock band System of a Down. Malakian’s unique style and approach to music have made him one of the most influential figures in the modern rock scene. Malakian’s career began in the late 1990s when he formed System of a Down with Serj Tankian, Ontronik Khachaturian, John Dolmayan, and Shavo Odadjian. The band quickly gained popularity with their unique blend of heavy metal, alternative rock, and political commentary.
Throughout his career, Malakian has been involved in several other musical projects. He formed the band Scars on Broadway in 2008 and released their self-titled debut album the same year. He has also collaborated with several other artists, including Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer, RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, and Serj Tankian. He has also worked with Rick Rubin, Tom Morello, and Chester Bennington, as well as filmmakers such as David Lynch and Quentin Tarantino.
