Cole Caufield is an American professional ice hockey right winger for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected 15th overall by the Canadiens in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Caufield’s NHL debut came in the 2020–2021 season, where he quickly made an impact and was awarded the Calder Memorial Trophy as the top rookie in the 2021–2022 season. Before his NHL career, he played for the University of Wisconsin in the NCAA.

During his first year with the Montreal Canadiens, Caufield won the Calder Memorial Trophy, distinguishing himself among NHL rookies. Before joining the NHL, at the University of Wisconsin, he led the nation in goals scored, showcasing his scoring talent early in his career. Caufield represented the United States at the World Junior Championships, contributing significantly to the team’s success and earning a gold medal in the 2021 tournament.
