Cassandra Peterson is an American actress known for her role as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. Elvira first appeared on the Los Angeles television station KHJ-TV as the show Elvira’s Movie Macabre, a weekly B movie review show. The show was a massive success in the 80s and led to the 1988 film Elvira: Mistress of the Dark and the 2001 film Elvira’s Haunted Hills. Elvira often makes cameo and guest appearances shows such as a guest commentator during WrestleMania 2 and as a guest judge on RuPaul‘s Drag Race and Halloween Wars.
