Iconic journalist and media personality Barbara Walters had one dog, a Havanese named Cha Cha whose full named is Cha Cha Cha. When Walters was a host on ABC’s The View, she claimed one time she said “I love you” to Cha Cha, the pup said “I love you” back to her (Not in perfect English, but via dog-like sounds).

Barbara Jill Walters was an American journalist and media personalist (September 25, 1929 – December 30, 2022). She’s considered one of the most recognizable news journalists and interviewers. Her career in journalism started in the early 1960s as a writer for NBC’s The Today Show. Her popularity led her to co-hosting The Today Show. Then in 1976 became the first woman TV news anchor in the States as co-anchor of the ABC Evening News. She went on to produce and co-host the ABC news show 20/20 from 1979 until 2004. She’s most recently known for creating, producing, and co-hosting the ABC talk show The View from 1997 until she retired in 2014. Known for interviewing some of the most important and interesting public figures throughout her career, which included every US president from Richard Nixon onwards, such as Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden. In 1989 she was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame. Then in 2007, she was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
