Anthony Michael Hall is an American actor, producer, and director recognized for his roles in John Hughes’ 1980s films, including “National Lampoon’s Vacation” (1983), “Sixteen Candles” (1984), “The Breakfast Club” (1985), and “Weird Science” (1985). Hall starred as Johnny Smith in the television series “The Dead Zone” from 2002 to 2007, based on Stephen King‘s novel.

In his film career, Hall appeared in “Edward Scissorhands” (1990) as Jim and in “The Dark Knight” (2008) as Mike Engel, a Gotham City news anchor. His television roles include a guest appearance in “Psych” (2010) as Harris Trout and a role in “Riverdale” (2019) as Principal Featherhead in a flashback episode.

Hall has worked alongside Johnny Depp in “Edward Scissorhands,” Robert Downey Jr. and Uma Thurman in “Johnny Be Good” (1988), Winona Ryder in “Edward Scissorhands,” Christopher Walken in “The Dead Zone,” and Jared Leto in “Takedown” (2000).
