Adam Gontier
Adam Gontier is a Canadian musician and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Three Days Grace until his departure in 2013.
Gontier began his musical career with Three Days Grace, contributing to the band’s first four studio albums. The band’s self-titled debut album, released in 2003, included the hit single “I Hate Everything About You.” Their second album, “One-X,” was certified triple platinum in the U.S. and contained several chart-topping songs such as “Animal I Have Become” and “Never Too Late.” Gontier’s soulful voice and raw energy resonated with fans, and he continued to find success after leaving Three Days Grace, forming the supergroup Saint Asonia in 2015.
Gontier has collaborated with Myles Kennedy, Benjamin Burnley of Breaking Benjamin, Kevin Brown of Trapt, Shaun Morgan of Seether, Matt Walst and Brad Walst of My Darkest Days, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Doug Robb of Hoobastank, Dallas Smith, and Alecia Demner of Stitched Up Heart.
In the realm of awards, Gontier has received various honors for his contributions to music. In 2007, Three Days Grace won an award for New Group of the Year at the Juno Awards. Additionally, the band has received several Billboard Music Awards nominations, including Top Artist and Top Alternative Artist.
