Stephen Colbert
Stephen Colbert is an American comedian, TV host and writer. Through his career he has earned an estimated net worth of $45 million. He originally planned to be an dramatic actor, but soon found himself interested in comedy. His first professional performance was as Steve Carell’s understudy. He then worked as a comedy writer and acted in sketch comedy.
His big break came working as an correspondent on Comedy Central’s parody news series The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in 1997. His popularity grew until he was given his own spin-off show The Colbert Report in 2005, which lasted until 2014. Since 2015, he has been the host of The Late Show, after taking over for David Letterman. Colbert is a supporter of rescue dogs and has promoted dog adoption on The Late Show.
