The Menswear Dog, Bodhi, Makes $15,000 a Month with Fashion Brand Coach

Meet Bodhi, the Shiba Inu who was discovered by Coach. Proclaimed as the most stylish dog in the world, Menswear Dog makes $15,000 a month making him one of the richest canines, ever. Bodhi’s got over 300k followers on Instagram, 200k followers on Facebook, and 11k followers on Twitter. This pup’s got everything from a book deal to two agents (who are, well, his mom and dad).

Menswear Dog came to life one rainy Saturday morning when his mom, Yena Kim, draped a cardigan across his furry shoulders and watched him gaze wistfully towards the horizon. Much to her surprise, Bodhi was a natural in front of the camera. Achieving almost immediate internet stardom – what’s better on your feed than dogs and fashion? – Kim and her husband David Fung decided to continue with the parody.

The New York couple began their careers in fashion, graphic design and photography before adopting the Shiba Inu from an Upper East Side pet store. The two are more than qualified to manage Bodhi’s modelling career. Bodhi’s left his pawprints on Good Morning America, The Rachael Ray Show, Anderson Cooper Live, and E! News as well as national publications such as Time, Bloomberg Businessweek, Fast Company, GQ, Details, and Esquire. His modeling resume includes campaigns for Coach, Hudson American Apparel, Victorinox Swiss Army, Purina, The Tie Bar, Polyvore and Salvatore Farragamo to name a few.

Although their success is impressive, it wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows for Bodhi’s parents. Apparently, handbooks on negotiating contracts for your pet aren’t easy to come by. These days between photo contracts, sponsored posts and appearances on daytime tv the canine doesn’t roll out of his doggy bed for subpar bones. He often doesn’t see less than $10,000 a month.

Bodhi’s classic American style has landed him at the World Dog Awards where he’s brushed shoulders with the likes of Paris Hilton.

Menswear Dog gives solid gold fashion advice, ranging from copycats and failure to swamp butt. You can read all about it in his book, The New Classics: Fresh Looks for the Modern Man. He’s also done a cameo giving advice on AskMen.com. Adjust your skinny ties, hipsters, and listen to Bodhi’s Menswear Dogma.
