Celebrity pet parents Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are mourning the death of Penny, their three-legged French Bulldog. Born on their wedding day, the couple adopted the tripawd pup soon after. Then following 11 love-filled years in the family, Penny’s chapter has sadly closed.
Along with a few photo memories, Teigen wrote a tribute to Penny in an Instagram post on Penny being by their side lovingly for so many years and a reminder to other pet parents of a pup’s limited time.
Her husband John Legend commented on the post, “I loved this girl. We will miss you, Penny, ” and Paris Hilton commented with a broken heart and paw print emojis. Teigen also shared a photo of their family grieving with a blanket-wrapped Penny.
The Teigen and Legend family have three other dogs, with Pearl the Basset Hound, Pebbles the rescue mutt, and Petey a rescued Standard Poodle.
The celebrity couple last added a pet to their family in June 2024 with a surprise Spynx kitten.
