With the tragedy of the Turkey-Syria earthquake still unfolding, it’s great to hear all the heroic rescue stories. This one involves a very lucky kitty, now named Enkaz, whose name translates to “rubble”. After Ali Cakas pulled Enkaz out of the rubble of a collapsed building, the very grateful cat has not left the firefighter’s side (or should I say shoulder).
Video clips of Cakas and Enkaz quickly went viral, with comments swooning over both the cat and the man. Still hoping to reunite Enkaz with his humans, Cakas has taken the cat in as his own for now.
