Sheeba, a black Goldendoodle, is an accomplished therapy dog and psychiatric service dog (PSD) for his dad Bryan Terrill (@usaf_traveler). We’ve been fans of Sheeba for a while now, seeing how this very good girl cares for his dad and countless humans through his therapy work with WVU Medicine.
Then we saw she was recently honored at the Wheeling Nailers’ Pups and Pucks Night and had to share the fun. Sheeba dropped the ceremonial puck to kick off the hockey game versus the Tulsa Oilers, providing extra luck and motivation that led to a 2-0 victory.
And the media-savvy pup made sure to promote two organizations important to him while in the limelight – Rocking an Elm Grove Animal Hospital bandana and of course a mention of WVU Medicine on his harness.
Here’s another recent example of Sheeba sniffing out a media opportunity to advocate for patients, therapy dogs, and dog adoption with a visit to the Pittsburgh Auto Show.
Sheeba’s dad also told us his dedicated doggo has made over 200 therapy visits in her career, so fans have plenty of reasons to cheer her on other than puck drops.
