Ted Raimi is an American actor, writer, and director, with a career spanning over three decades. Raimi’s breakout role was in the 1987 cult classic horror movie “Evil Dead II,” directed by his brother Sam Raimi. He played the character of “Henrietta,” the possessed mother of the protagonist’s girlfriend. He then went on to appear in several other movies in the “Evil Dead” franchise, including “Army of Darkness” and “Ash vs Evil Dead.”
Raimi also built a cult following for his role on the popular television series “Xena: Warrior Princess.” He played the recurring character of “Joxer” for several seasons alongside Lucy Lawless and Renee O’Connor. Raimi also wrote and directed several episodes of the show.
Raimi has worked with his brother Sam on numerous occasions, including the “Spider-Man” trilogy, in which Raimi had a cameo appearance. He has also worked with director Quentin Tarantino in “Pulp Fiction” and “Kill Bill: Vol. 2,” as well as with actor Bruce Campbell in several projects, including “Ash vs Evil Dead” and “Man with the Screaming Brain.”
In addition to his work in entertainment, Raimi is also a passionate animal advocate. He has worked with the Amanda Foundation and the Tailwaggers Foundation. He has also been involved in several pet adoption events, encouraging people to adopt pets from shelters instead of purchasing them from pet stores.
