Mohammed Amer
Mohammed Amer is an American stand-up comedian and actor known for his Netflix comedy special Mo Amer: The Vagabond and the sitcom Mo (2022). He gained recognition as a member of the comedy group Allah Made Me Funny and has performed extensively in live comedy shows worldwide. Amer has also appeared in the DC film Black Adam (2022) and the Hulu series Ramy.
Amer starred alongside Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam, portraying Karim, a humorous yet grounded character integral to the storyline. In Mo, he collaborated with Teresa Ruiz to explore a semi-autobiographical narrative, blending humor and cultural identity. On Ramy, he shared scenes with Ramy Youssef, contributing to the series’ focus on Arab-American life. As part of Allah Made Me Funny, he toured globally with Azhar Usman, delivering culturally resonant comedy performances. Amer also appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, marking a milestone for Arab-American comedians. His stand-up specials include collaborations with fellow comedians such as Dave Chappelle, with whom he performed during multi-city tours.
