Mekhi Phifer is an American actor known for his role as Dr. Greg Pratt on ER (2002–2008) and for his performances in films like 8 Mile (2002) and Divergent (2014).

Phifer’s acting career began with Clockers (1995), where he made his film debut. He went on to star in Soul Food (1997), followed by I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998). His role as Dr. Greg Pratt on ER was a key part of the show’s success, running for over six years. Phifer’s performance as Future in 8 Mile gained him further attention, and he continued with notable roles in Dawn of the Dead (2004) and the Divergent series.

Phifer worked with Angela Bassett in Soul Food and appeared alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. He shared the screen with Eminem in 8 Mile and collaborated with Shailene Woodley in Divergent. Phifer acted alongside Ving Rhames in Dawn of the Dead and worked with Noah Wyle on ER.
