Mehcad Brooks is an American actor and former fashion model known for his roles as Matthew Applewhite in the television series “Desperate Housewives” and James Olsen in the superhero series “Supergirl.”

Brooks began his acting career with guest roles on television before landing a significant part in “Desperate Housewives” (2005-2006). He later appeared in the USA Network series “Necessary Roughness” (2011-2013), playing Terrence “TK” King. Brooks took on the role of James Olsen in “Supergirl” (2015-2021), where his character became the superhero Guardian. He has also appeared in films such as “Glory Road” (2006), “In the Valley of Elah” (2007), and “Just Wright” (2010).

Throughout his career, Brooks has collaborated with numerous notable actors. On “Desperate Housewives,” he worked with Eva Longoria.
