Lee Malia
Lee Malia is an English musician and songwriter, best known as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for the metalcore band Bring Me the Horizon. He joined Bring Me the Horizon in 2004.
Malia contributed to the band’s debut album “Count Your Blessings,” released in 2006, which was characterized by a deathcore style. He also played a major role in their 2013 album “Sempiternal,” which achieved Gold certification in the UK. “Amo,” released in 2019, reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. Notable tracks featuring Malia’s contributions include “Can You Feel My Heart” and “Sleepwalking.”
Malia has worked with bandmates Oliver Sykes, Matt Kean, Matt Nicholls, and Jordan Fish. His collaboration with Sykes is exemplified by their work on the track “Drown.” Malia’s collaboration with Fish, who joined the band in 2013, is highlighted in the track “Doomed,” where electronic elements are prominent. He has also worked with Josh Franceschi of You Me at Six on the song “Bite My Tongue,” featuring Malia’s guitar work. Additionally, Malia collaborated with Lights on the track “Don’t Go,” which includes her guest vocals. His work with producer Terry Date on the album “There Is a Hell Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is a Heaven Let’s Keep It a Secret.” showcases his adaptability and influence in the band’s sound.
