Hong Chau is a Vietnamese-American actress best known for her Oscar-nominated role in The Whale (2022) with Brendan Fraser.

Chau began her acting career in the early 2010s, appearing in a number of independent films and television shows. Her breakthrough role came in 2017 with her portrayal of Ngoc Lan Tran in the film Downsizing, which also starred Matt Damon, Christoph Waltz, and Kristen Wiig. Chau has since appeared in several high-profile projects, including the HBO series Watchmen and the Amazon Prime Video series Homecoming.
