Fantasia Barrino, known professionally as Fantasia, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and actress who gained fame as the winner of the third season of the reality television series “American Idol” in 2004. Following her victory, she released her debut single, “I Believe,” which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Her career has since encompassed the release of several studio albums, including her platinum-certified debut, “Free Yourself” (2004), and “Back to Me” (2010), which featured the hit single “Bittersweet.” Fantasia has received numerous awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
