On “The Drew Carey Show,” Drew Carey had a pet Golden Retriever named Speedy that he got from his ex-girlfriend. At first, Speedy was seen in a doggy wheelchair. It was challenging for him to control it, so halfway through the season, they had a storyline where he had surgery to walk on all fours again. Speedy appeared in season 2 until season 8 for 41 episodes total. Speedy was played by the dog actor named Ajax, who was also an understudy for Comet, the dog on “Full House.”

Drew Carey is an American comedian, actor, and game show host who has become one of the most recognizable faces in entertainment. He first rose to fame in the early 1990s as the star of his own sitcom, “The Drew Carey Show,” which ran for nine seasons and earned him critical acclaim.
