Deidre Hall
Deidre Hall is an American actress renowned for her portrayal of Dr. Marlena Evans on the NBC daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” a role she has embodied since 1976. Her performance has garnered multiple awards, including three Soap Opera Digest Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1984, 1985, and 1995.[1]
Throughout her career, Hall has demonstrated versatility across various television genres. She starred as Jessica Witherspoon in the family drama series “Our House” from 1986 to 1988, collaborating with actors Wilford Brimley and Shannen Doherty. In 1995, she portrayed herself in the television movie “Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story,” which she also executive produced, sharing the screen with Robert Gant. Hall made guest appearances on series such as “Murder, She Wrote” in 1990 and “Columbo” in 1990, acting alongside Angela Lansbury and Peter Falk, respectively. In 2017, she appeared in the comedy series “Great News,” featuring Briga Heelan and Andrea Martin. More recently, in 2024, Hall guest-starred as a fictionalized version of herself in the third season of the comedy series “Hacks,” sharing scenes with Christopher Lloyd.[2]
