Carson Steele is an American professional football player who plays as a running back for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. Steele, originally from Greenwood, Indiana, made his way to the NFL as an undrafted free agent after the 2024 NFL Draft. Despite not being selected in the draft, Steele impressed during the Chiefs’ training camp and secured a spot on their 53-man roster. Known for his power-running style and ability to break tackles, Steele debuted in the NFL season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, where he made a solid impression with a kick return of 28 yards and two carries for three yards.

Steele’s football journey began at Center Grove High School in Indiana, where he excelled by rushing for 1,659 yards and 31 touchdowns in his senior year. His performance earned him a spot at Ball State University, where he continued to develop as a standout player. During his time at Ball State, Steele rushed for 891 yards and six touchdowns as a freshman and followed it up with an outstanding sophomore season, gaining 1,556 yards and scoring 14 touchdowns. He later transferred to UCLA, where he continued to be a key contributor, rushing for 847 yards and six touchdowns during his junior year.
