Bridget Marquardt
Bridget Marquardt, an American television personality, gained popularity through her role in the reality TV series “The Girls Next Door,” which depicted her life as one of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends. While not a Playboy Playmate, Marquardt has appeared in nude pictorials alongside her co-stars and fellow Hefner girlfriends Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson.
Born Bridget Christina Sandmeier in Tillamook, Oregon, Marquardt was raised in California after her family moved back shortly after her birth. She experienced her parents’ divorce in fifth grade and later lived on her stepfather’s ranch. Bridget completed her high school education at Lodi High School and pursued higher education at San Joaquin Delta College, earning an associate degree. She furthered her studies at California State University, Sacramento, graduating with a B.A. in communications, and later obtained a Master’s Degree in Communications from the University of the Pacific.
Marquardt’s journey to the Playboy Mansion began with her interest in becoming a Playmate. After several attempts and visits to the Mansion, she was invited to move in as one of Hefner’s girlfriends in 2002. Her television career took off with her participation in “The Girls Next Door,” alongside Madison and Wilkinson. Marquardt has also ventured into acting, with roles in films like “Kottentail” and appearances in shows such as “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Entourage.” Her career expanded to hosting “Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches” on the Travel Channel and contributing to Yahoo’s Animal Nation series. She also hosts the paranormal investigation podcast “Ghost Magnet with Bridget Marquardt” and “Girls Next Level” with Holly Madison.
Marquardt’s personal life has been equally eventful. She was married but separated while living at the Playboy Mansion and has been in a long-term relationship with Nicholas Carpenter since 2008.
