Brandi Carlile
Brandi Carlile is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music spans multiple genres including folk, rock, country, and pop. Born in Ravensdale, Washington, Carlile began performing live in the Seattle area at the age of 15. She released her debut album, ‘Brandi Carlile’, in 2005, which featured the hit single “The Story”. Since then, Carlile has released five additional studio albums, including ‘The Firewatcher’s Daughter’ (2015) and ‘By the Way, I Forgive You’ (2018), both of which earned her Grammy Awards for Best Americana Album. Carlile is an advocate for numerous social causes and organizations, including the Human Rights Campaign and Children of the Night. She has performed with and written songs for many well-known artists, including The Avett Brothers, Pearl Jam, Miranda Lambert, and Elton John, among many others. Her song “Broken Horses” won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 2023.
