Beth Gibbons is a British singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Portishead. The band’s albums, including “Dummy” and their self-titled “Portishead,” have received multiple awards, including the Mercury Prize for “Dummy.”

Beth Gibbons began her career in music by forming Portishead in the early 1990s alongside Geoff Barrow and Adrian Utley. The band’s debut album, “Dummy,” released in 1994, won the Mercury Prize. In 2002, she released a solo album, “Out of Season,” in collaboration with Rustin Man. Portishead’s third album, “Third,” released in 2008, continued their work in the trip-hop genre.
