Dogpool, aka Peggy, aka Mary Puppins, aka Britain’s 2023 Ugliest Dog Winner, just proudly hit the red carpet in London with her Deadpool & Wolverine costars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

Now working under the stage name “Dogpool,” she ranks among the top celebrity pet actors working in Hollywood today.
Reynolds said he wanted to cast Peggy as she was “like the animal manifestation” of Deadpool’s alter ego, Wade Wilson. And with Dogpool an actual character from the Deadpool comics and the movie being filmed in London, it was a match made in heaven.
[Dogpool] was, just like many things during the writing process, a tiny little afterthought, and it grew. It was one of those things where you just keep listening to the movie, and Dogpool became a staple.

Oh, the times I’ve said the words, “I wish you could understand me and talk right now” after she’s been filming. I’d tell her how amazing she is and that we love her, and we’re proud of her, and that she is the most beautiful dog inside and out. I’d also ask her what it was like to lick Ryan Reynolds.
