We all love wolves for being the wild relatives of the doggos we’re proud to be best friends with. While wolves are already awesome, there is a rare group of extra badass “sea wolves” found on Canada’s Vancouver Island. Genetically distinct from the usually land-based wolves, these wolves swim from island to island and hunt sea animals for around 90% of their diet.

Part Malamute, part arctic wolf, part husky and all good boy, Loki the Wolfdog is one man’s best friend. Kelly Lund brought Loki home as a pup during a blizzard in 2012. The two immediately started going on adventures together, Lund had Loki backcountry snowboarding when he was only four months old.

Graveskull @graveskullthepersian, her name aptly inspired by Castle Grayskull in the He-Man series, is a persian cat with bright, orange orb-like eyes. She’s a sassy little puss with a badass name and a deeply entrenched love for yoga and home-made toys (like bits of string and newspaper). Graveskull lives in New York with her mom and dad, and two siblings, Señor Taco and Kitkat.

The Bark Ball is the top-dog event of the year
Imagine a black tie gala – you’re wearing your finest evening wear, sipping champagne in the candlelight. You lean over to your date, staring lovingly into their eyes, you toss a dog biscuit into their open, drooling mouth. The Bark Ball, the hottest event to hit Washington, was a benefit gala put on by the Humane Rescue Alliance to raise funds for pups in need.
