Vogue Magazine’s new “Dogue” series features celebrity dogs and their famous pawrents. One such precious pup is Tank, Sydney Sweeney’s rescued Pitbull mix. The photo shoot showcased Tank comfortably in her home in Los Angeles, lounging in her bed and poolside, as well as chilling in a classic cherry-red droptop pickup.
Vogue’s caption summarizes Sydney’s family legacy of dog adoption. starting with her great-grandmother, who loved dogs so much she had an eight-pack of them. She also volunteered weekly at a local animal shelter. Then 10 years ago, she brought a 17-year-old Sydney to the shelter. There she met a four-week-old pitbull mix puppy, who has been by her side ever since!
Syndey reposted the shoot her Instagram with the caption, “We are a Tank fan page now. I think this might be my proudest moment yet. TANK IS ON THE COVER OF @voguemagazine AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! She’s a STAR! If you know me, you know tank has been my best friend for almost 10 years and been by my side during this wild, amazing journey. Thank you to everyone who made this possible, I’ll be cherishing this forever (also tank had more people to show up for her entourage during the shoot than I have ever had haha)”
In their Dogue interview, Sydney shared that buying a home with a backyard for her pup had always been her dream… Then as she went from bit parts to a leading actor, she made it come true five years ago. She also shared that Tank’s a Capricorn and “She sleeps like a human: in bed, with her body underneath the blankets, and then her head on the pillow. I spoon her on my right side.” Tank was only four weeks old when she adopted her and actually had to bottle-feed her. Then Tank attended Sydney at school, then eventually on set. And despite being adopted with a “stomach was an angry red mess of infected stitches,” Tank thrived in school and on set – Becoming Syndey’s protector and a friend to her fellow students and Hollywood colleagues.
