Malaika Firth
Malaika Firth is a Kenyan-born British model. Firth’s career began in 2012 when she was scouted by a modeling agency while working part-time at a McDonald’s in London. Firth’s breakout role came in 2013 when she was chosen to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, making her the first black model to do so in nearly a decade. She has since worked with a number of other high-profile brands, including Burberry, Prada, and Marc Jacobs.
Firth has also collaborated with other artists, celebrities, and influential people throughout her career. She has appeared in music videos for artists like Sam Smith and Janelle Monáe, and has worked with photographers like Mario Testino and Steven Meisel. Firth has also been an advocate for diversity and inclusion in the fashion industry, using her platform to push for greater representation of models of color on the runway and in advertising campaigns.
