Christina Pérez, who was romantically involved with celebrity chef Bobby Flay, became the owner of a Pomeranian named Allspice Flay Pérez, a gift from Flay in celebration of her 42nd birthday. The dog’s unique name, Allspice, was both inspired by Flay and selected by him, reflecting his influence and involvement. Announcing the arrival of the petite canine, who weighed just a couple of pounds at a tender age of a few months, Pérez took to social media, describing Allspice as a “charmer” and warmly welcoming him to the family.

Christina Pérez used to have a Pomeranian named Bjorn that she got in 2007. Bjorn crossed the rainbow bridge in May 2022 at 15 years old.

It’s been one week since I lost my sweet best friend and forever sidekick Bjorn. Saying goodbye to him has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done … but I wouldn’t trade it for any of the smiles, laughs, cuddles, and love this little angel gave to me over the last 15 years.

Bjorn went nearly everywhere with me, crisscrossing from New York to California to Wisconsin to Florida to so many places in between. He was an epic traveler, always approaching each new situation with total enthusiasm, patience, playfulness, independence, and grace. His personality was truly infectious—I used to call him the Mayor of Brooklyn because everyone he passed on the street would stop to smile and wave.

As one friend put it earlier this week, “what a wild, magical life he had.”

And truly. Thank you to all those who knew, cared for, and loved my little Bjorn over the years. You really helped make his life wild and magical—and remembering those beautiful times, hearing your memories, and seeing your photos of him living it up has been a true gift during these last sad days.

Rest In Peace my sweet boy. You are and will be forever remembered, loved, and missed.
