Brittany Mahomes
Brittany Mahomes, formerly Brittany Matthews, is an American businesswoman, fitness entrepreneur, and co-owner of the Kansas City Current, a team in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). She’s also known as the wife of NFL star and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, who she has three children with.
Brittany was a standout soccer player in college, setting multiple records at the University of Texas at Tyler, including a single-season program record of 18 goals during her senior year. Following college, she played professionally for UMF Afturelding in Iceland before transitioning into a career as a fitness trainer and entrepreneur. She founded Brittany Lynne Fitness, a successful online fitness brand that she promotes through her social media platforms. Her financial success in this venture has been substantial, with her net worth estimated at around $10 million as of 2024.
Brittany’s role in professional sports expanded significantly when she became a founding co-owner of the Kansas City Current in December 2020. The team, initially named Kansas City NWSL, was established after acquiring the player contracts and draft picks from Utah Royals FC. She announced the team’s rebranding as the Kansas City Current in 2021 and has been involved in major developments, such as breaking ground for a new stadium in Kansas City. Her husband, NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes, later joined her as a minority owner of the team, supporting its growth and development.
