Hopkins has always had an affinity for felines. He had one beloved rescue kitty named Niblo who he adopted in 2009, but he sadly passed away in late 2022. The pair were known for their piano duets.

And here’s Sir Hopkins posing with his kitty for a magazine shoot way way back in the early 1990s.

And not only does he advocate for rescue organizations, he’ll even put the effort in to rescue cats personally! Such as the lucky Amore seen below.

Last summer, Hopkins and his wife Stella Arroyave pledged their support to Paws of War, a charity that reconnects American soldiers with any animals they rescued while deployed. Paws of War revealed to People that Hopkins’ support allowed three urgent missions to continue after they almost ran out of funding. Robert Misseri, a Paws of War co-founder, said, “We are delighted to have Anthony and Stella Hopkins helping to support these life-changing missions for our military members. Animals in conflict zones face a daily struggle to survive and sadly often die from starvation or are killed through abuse or one of the many dangers they face in a hostile environment, and soldiers are regularly the first to show them kindness and provide them with food.”
